To kickoff our livestream classes, we are lunching a 6-Week Movement Challenge

The 6-Week Movement Challenge is here to help you make movement a routine part of your lifestyle. The challenge will push you to stay committed, help you create consistency and find the extra motivation we all sometimes need.

HOW THE CHALLENGE WORKS

Define Two Goals:

1. Movement goal – commit to take two, three, or four classes a week, for six weeks.

The number of classes per week is completely unique to you. You want something that will challenge you, but is also realistic. To see what works best, ask yourself: are you doing other forms of movement /exercise each week? What other commitments do you currently have? What feels realistic and sustainable to you? Make a choice and commit to stick to it.

2. Define your why. Why do you want to commit to this challenge?  What are you hoping to get out of it? Do you have a more specific goal, such as decreasing knee pain or improving your posture? Make it crystal clear for yourself.

What counts as a class?

Both livestream and on-demand classes count towards your goal. For a little added motivation, join the group for a livestream class for one or four of your weekly classes!

And the length of class doesn't matter. One day you may take a 45-minute livestream class and the next day you may only be able to squeeze in a 15 minute core series. Either way, your movement counts.

How do I keep track and stay connected?

First, you sign up to join the challenge here.

On Monday of every week, you'll get a check-in email from me. I'll check in to see how you're doing, share any tips or advice, ask for questions, and we can share the process together.

Leave a comment on the classes you take! Under each video in the online studio, there is a section to leave comments. Share how you felt during class, what you loved about it, what you learned or took away, any questions you may have, or anything! You can respond to other members comments in the challenge. Together, we can communicate about what classes are our favorites, what keeps us motivated, and help each other stay accountable.

Last, share and tag the studio on social media! I will repost everyone's photos or videos of class to help us all stay connected. (Not only will we all be in the challenge together, but sharing & tagging on social is an easy (and free!) way to help support a small business. The majority of you all have become KGS members by a word of mouth referral, and that I cannot appreciate enough).

Why should I take part?

This isn't about drastic before and after photos glorifying a "perfect" body type. It's not about cutting all carbs and all sugar (and all fun). This isn't a bikini competition where we will be weighing our food. I simply want you to move to your body and create a routine that you will stick to after this 6 weeks is over. Here, we will create consistency.

This challenge is about finding sustainability. This is about making movement something that is part of your lifestyle, something that feels good, something that you crave.

If you already have a consistent schedule, then for you, maybe this challenge is about recommitting to your goals and why you move, about building community and connecting with other movers – and even helping motivating others.
